Your Profile: Make It Yours

Your profile is your digital identity within Nviti.ng. It's how the system recognizes you, where we send important updates, and how your team members see you. Let's make sure everything is set up just right.

Getting to Your Profile

Finding your profile settings is easy:

  • Quick way: Click on your name or avatar (usually in the top-right corner)
  • Menu way: Go to Settings → Profile from the main navigation

What You Can Update

Your Basic Information

Display Name: This is how you appear to your team members and in conversation logs. Choose something professional that your team will recognize.

Email Address: This is super important - it's how we'll reach you with:

  • Password reset links (if you get locked out)
  • Important account notifications
  • System updates and maintenance notices
  • Billing alerts (for account owners)

Pro tip: Use your primary work email address so you don't miss anything important.

Security Settings

Password: Keep your account secure with a strong password. Good passwords:

  • Are at least 12 characters long
  • Mix letters, numbers, and symbols
  • Aren't used anywhere else
  • Don't contain personal info like birthdays

Two-Factor Authentication (if available): Turn this on! It adds an extra layer of security that makes your account much harder to hack.

Personalization Settings

Timezone: Get this right and you'll never be confused about when conversations happened or when reports were generated. The system uses your timezone to show all dates and times in your local time.

Language Preferences: Choose your preferred language for the interface (if multiple languages are supported).

Notification Settings: Control how and when you hear from us:

  • Email notifications: For important updates and alerts
  • In-app notifications: Those little red dots and pop-ups
  • Frequency: Daily summaries vs. real-time alerts

Making Your Changes Stick

After updating anything, don't forget to click "Save" or "Update Profile" - otherwise, your changes won't take effect. You'll usually see a confirmation message when everything saves successfully.

Keep Your Profile Fresh

Regular Profile Maintenance

  • Update your email if you change jobs or get a new work email
  • Review notification settings quarterly - your needs might change as your business grows
  • Check your timezone if you move or travel frequently
  • Update your password periodically or immediately if you think it might be compromised

Team Coordination

If you work with a team, keep your display name consistent and professional. It helps everyone stay organized when reviewing conversation logs or collaborating on customer issues.
