Use Customers > Activities for tasks, calls, meetings and follow-ups linked to permitted contacts, organizations or deals. CRM access and capacity applies to reading, creating and completing work.

Related lesson: follow-up automation. This is not a walkthrough of every activity or recurrence control.

Plan and record work

Choose the owner and activity type. Calendar date uses a due date; Specific time uses a due time in the displayed timezone. Meetings also have an end time. Record an outcome and, for a call, its duration in seconds when appropriate. Activity statuses are planned, in progress, completed and cancelled.

An assignee reminder is optional and requires automation permission. It uses the shared schedule and workflow allowances. A date-only task has no specific reminder time. Review due dates and actual reminder outcomes before relying on them operationally. These screens do not establish offline mobile synchronization or calendar recurrence interoperability.

Use Notes or Add note on a customer profile to preserve context. The profile's Private to me option restricts that note's visibility. Files can be attached where the action is available; attachment permission and storage checks still apply. Completing an activity does not change customer consent or prove a sale.

Workflows and sequences

Watch: build an ordered sales sequence (01:15).

CRM > Workflows attaches supported actions to a pipeline. Choose created, deal stage changed or updated as the event, then create an activity or note. The action name can include {{name}} for the originating name. Configure only the offered actions and review their results; an existing workflow does not grant premium feature or cross-company authority.

Sequences defines named steps and waiting days, including tasks and email with recorded consent. Enroll from a permitted deal using Enroll sale. Email requires an eligible recipient, recorded marketing permission and an authorized connected mailbox; saving an email step is not a send receipt. For accepted-sale onboarding steps, see Deals and onboarding.

Review enrollments

Watch: inspect progress and recover safely (04:47).

Active Enrollments shows retained automation progress and recovery reasons for the current authorized actor. Pause work when review is needed. Resume only when offered and after resolving the displayed reason; current permissions, template, deal, subscription and capacity are checked again.

Work may stop or pause when its original authority, source records or delivery outcome changes. Reinstating a subscription does not by itself approve resumption. If an email delivery is unknown, check the connected mailbox before creating a new send request. A template or active enrollment does not establish that a background worker or provider completed the work.

Recurring activities and recovery

Where the enabled release offers activity series, configure recurrence and review generated occurrences and exceptions. Completing one occurrence does not certify the series, calendar provider or reminder worker completed. Pause or cancel future work using the offered controls; do not duplicate a series to work around a blocked occurrence. Calendar/provider interoperability must be separately verified.

CRM Copilot and qualification suggestions, where enabled, remain advisory and require their own AI capability and usage allowance. Review a suggested note, reply or next action before applying it. A generated suggestion does not grant consent or send a campaign.
