Open CRM > Deals and choose the pipeline. Pipeline and List views use the current authorized filters; stage columns show deal counts, known value by currency and unknown amounts. Use Set up pipeline when offered to create the starter pipeline. CRM access and capacity explains feature, staff and capacity checks.

Create and advance an opportunity
Create a deal linked to a contact or organization, assign an authorized owner and select a stage in its pipeline. Enter an amount when known, its currency, expected close date and forecast category. An unknown amount is different from zero. Keep currencies separate when comparing values.
Edit the deal to change its stage. Required stage fields and approval requirements can block the change. Record the actual close time for won or lost deals; a lost outcome requires a reason, and reopening requires a reason. Review current values again if another person changed the record while your form was open. Creating a won deal does not establish that an invoice was paid.
Reassign opens reviewed reassignment for permitted deals, activities or contacts. Preview the selected records and destination owner before applying; changed records require a fresh review. Company-wide visibility and the relevant update permissions are required.
Quotes and approvals
An entitled Quotes screen accepts items, quantity, unit price, discount and tax percentages, with optional authorized products. Choose the linked deal and review totals before saving or using Download quote. Quote statuses include draft, sent, accepted, rejected and expired. A quote status is not a payment receipt. Once accepted, the commercial terms and customer/deal relationships cannot be changed while retaining that acceptance. Set the quote back to draft to revise the offer, review the new terms, then record its new status. Ordinary descriptive edits do not silently revise accepted amounts.
For an approval-required stage, create a pending Approval for the deal and requested stage. The request records the reviewed deal version. A changed deal or requested stage needs a new request; an old approval is not approval for a changed scope. Approval access requires the approvals feature and appropriate staff permissions.
An authorized approver can edit a pending request's status to approved or rejected. Changing a pending request to a decision requires approval permission, in addition to access to the current reviewed deal and a stage in the same pipeline. The server records the requester and reviewer. Completed decisions and their review evidence are retained; create a new request to review changed terms or reach a different decision.
Onboarding templates
CRM > Workflows > Onboarding & Renewals defines reviewed templates with steps such as tasks, consent-aware email, renewal opportunities and internal support handoffs. A renewal step selects an active pipeline and open stage and counts its due interval from the actual sale date. The template can request enrollment when an authorized sale is won.
On the deal, Enroll sale selects an active sequence or onboarding template. Onboarding requires an accepted, won sale and current automation authority and capacity. This is not a payment, full external onboarding or guaranteed support delivery receipt. Review progress and stopped work in Automation enrollments; inspect the actual destination and outcome before relying on a handoff.
Unfinished work and connected context
Use Private deal drafts for unfinished creation work, then verify the final deal after submission. The pipeline/list views, profile shortcuts and conversation customer-action shortcuts all retain the same current company, field, relationship and capacity checks. A button inside a slide-over does not bypass them.
Core opportunity management is distinct from the advanced quotes, approvals and onboarding features above. Those screens can be hidden by the active MVP profile even when their implementation is present. See CRM overview.
Compact pipeline and record forms
The Pipeline view uses a separate card column for each permitted stage. Scroll the board horizontally to see more stages; use its existing per-stage pagination for older opportunities. Retained inactive or unavailable stages remain visible where they contain permitted work. Switching to List keeps the native table workflow. Create and edit use the shared workspace surfaces; the persistent draft status still distinguishes a saved draft from a saved deal.
